Member, Harold J. Brody, MD is the recipient of the Dermatology
Foundation's 2008 Clark W. Finnerud Award. Dr. Brody is pictured
below receiving this honor from Dr. Bruce Wintrob at the Dermatology
Foundation's
Annual Meeting in San Francisco on March 7th, 2009.
The Award is
named for the late Clark W. Finnerud, M.D., a member of the faculty at Chicago’s
Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center for 47 years, and is intended to
honor a dermatologist whose contributions as a clinical educator are exemplary.
Dr. Finnerud’s generous financial support helped launch the Dermatology
Foundation in 1964, and the Trustees created the named Award in 1971.

MESSAGE
The Georgia Society of
Dermatologists, established in May 1958, is
a statewide association,
with a current membership of over 180 physicians,
that strives to enhance the quality of human life by supporting an environment
in which dermatologists can provide the highest quality of care.
The GSD provides
representation to the Medical Association of Georgia and the American Academy of
Dermatology.
All Georgia dermatologists
are encouraged to be actively involved in GSD. We are open to your
suggestions and comments. If you are a dermatologist in Georgia and
currently not a member, we strongly urge you to
JOIN TODAY! There is strength in numbers and we
need the support of all active dermatologists to continue our efforts.

Reuben M. Reifler, MD Memorial Lectureship
The GSD Executive Committee is
pleased to re-establish the Reuben M. Reifler, MD Memorial Lectureship at the
54th Annual Meeting. As we did during his life, we continue to honor Rem
Reifler for his tireless contributions and dedication to the success of the
Georgia Society of Dermatologists (GSD History).
